Some stories don’t begin with a destination—they begin with two people choosing a different kind of life. Ours started in Cape Town, crossed oceans to America, then circled back into the wide-open spaces where adventure feels infinite and time finally slows down.
We’re Jo & K, a binational, interracial couple with a shared love for dirt roads, desert silence, and the kind of moments you can’t stage—only live. What began as weekend escapes turned into a calling: to travel, to create, to capture stories from the driver’s seat of a 2025 Toyota Hilux 2.8 GD-6 E-Cab 4×4 built for real overland touring.
We didn’t come from influencer culture. We didn’t grow up with cameras in our faces or plans to build a social brand. We simply loved exploring, dust on our boots, tyres on gravel, and a sense of freedom that only a long road can give.
But life has a way of opening doors when you lean into your purpose.
What started as small clips on Instagram slowly became a community. Brands began to notice. A few of our early videos were reposted by Toyota South Africa, MAXTRAX HQ, and others—quiet reminders that we were on a path worth following.
